Don't get sucked into the "real" P228 twaddle. The M11-A1 is the improved version of the M11 which was the military designation for the P228. The improved gun has a stronger milled slide, external extractor, eliminated the pinned breech block, higher mag capacity, revised frame (using a rail-less P229), stock night sights and coated internal parts.

I carry my M11 A1 in a Miami classic or the Crossbreed superslide OWB. I'm 6'2" and weigh 225 (ish). An untucked, unbuttoned short sleeve shirt conceals the M11 A1 fairly well, but don't expect a detective with 30 years experience (as in Terry versus Ohio) to be fooled.I do prefer OWB in either a Don Hume H721 pancake (P229SAS) or a Bianchi Mod.83 PaddleLok (P229 SAS or P227 SAS). The Don Hume was made for theP228/229 so the P227 won't fit with the squared trigger guard.
