The 30AS is the Marlin labeled version of the Glenfield 30A. It's a budget 336 and a great little lever gun. Hello, I recently purchased a marlin model 336 30 30. Serial number starts with 2407 (1st 4 digits). How do I find the manufacture date? There are no letters before the serial number or on the barrel. Also, I picked up this beautiful gun for $499.00. Good buy? I’ve been searching for the right one for a long time.
