It looks like your jumper to 12 volts is done correctly -- so if the other terminal of the coil is getting switched up and down it should provide spark. Solved. A friend of mine asked for my help fixing his John Deere Gator 850i and after doing some diagnostics I have come to the conclusion that it has no spark to either cylinder. I checked this by getting a test light and putting one end on the spark plug and one in the boot.
