Murasama is just as good as it used to be in a relative sense. Say a boss had 100,000 hp and Murasama did 30,000 damage. Now that boss has 10,000 hp and Murasama deals 3,000 damage. You're still cracking the boss for 30% of it's health in a single swing.Night's Edge is a good sword, but the real reason to craft it is that it's used to make a even better sword later in the game (which in turn leads to a third sword which very powerful and only beaten by end game items). Overall Night's Edge is better than the swords that make it. I'd also say it's one of the best pre-hardmode swords.
